He said, do you want a weak partner, or a powerful partner? and I don't mean powerful as in someone to control you, but someone competent.
You said he doesn't go after SJW. Bullshit.
You said cultural marxism is a meaningless term. Bullshit.
And I have a feeling you know all of that you just tried to slip through was bullshit.
Yes, he replaced the term power with competence as if they were synonymous, which they aren't. I assume he is resting on an unstated tautology that simply defines competent as powerful, which is dishonest.
I never said he doesn't go after SJWs. I said he goes after low hanging fruit in an uninteresting way. DB goes after SJWs in a more interesting way, and with funnier memes,
and you don't have to slog through hours upon hours of Jordan Peterson's tragically annoying voice.
As for Cultural Marxism, I know what it is supposed to mean, but I have seen it used to describe just about everything, and a term that can be slapped onto everything doesn't do a very good job describing anything.
And, while I might be slow, I do try hard not to be intentionally dishonest, even on innernet.

I'm guessing in Peterson's world competence equates to power in that it is a good, reliable source of power. I don't think he did a good job saying how you can distinguish between someone that has a desirable competence and one that is emotionally controlling, especially since effective manipulation requires some level of competence. Nevertheless, I don't see him failing to outline this or something similar at that instant to be evidence of his "dishonesty", I wouldn't even know what his motivation for "dishonesty" in this case would be. It's true with Peterson a lot of times you get the thinker in progress or on the cusp of something and not the fully worked out theory. That sense that he is discovering something with the audience as he speaks is part of the compelling nature of his personality.
Certainly in one of the many roles Peterson plays "low hanging fruit" and him have a combative relationship, but in a culture where the low forms of discourse increasingly become the standard, I am glad there is someone reasonable to fight it, articulate what is happening and lend it the gravity that it deserves.
I like the term "Cultural Marxism", if Peterson himself has misused it at some point you should draw our attention to it, otherwise, I don't see your beef.
As for other people claiming he's some dangerous cult leader only out to enrich himself, I would say he makes money off of only a fraction of his productivity, which he well deserves, and he has the the option to form a cult at this point given his charisma and ability to influence, yet he has remained the same apparently honest and truth-seeking man of integrity as before he became famous.
Also, he has good biblical lectures.
But if you think he's over-rated I encourage you to keep giving more reasons, it's interesting to hear what his critics have to say.
