I am saying, shame as a means of social control is a poisonous social trait that belies a social malignancy. It's collectivism and female-style power run amok. If you want to live in a society that uses shame to control everybody, then go live in a communist country. There are still a few pure communist states left. Don't come back crying to me like a disillusioned Harvey Oswald either.

The other side of that coin is male-style social control, which is based upon honor. That kind of society requires you to duel somebody when challenged. It's got problems too, but it's not so much of a fucking nightmare. Plus, if you are smart about it, you can make like Lincoln and get out of a duel humorously.

The better way of doing things is through argumentation and the rule of law. But don't let me fucking ruin your utopia.

A society where the values are based on masculine virtues of strength, courage and loyalty.
The greatest dishonour in these societies is cowardice and disloyalty to the group.

Our society is of course not such a society.
Liberal societies have liberal (perhaps feminine) values of protecting vulnerable members and do not highly value strength and loyalty.
In fact loyalty is often seen as perverse and xenophobic.

It is not that shame isn't at play in either of these societies, it is simply that the value system is different.
Our society lacks also strong male role models... you only need to look at the popular shows of the turn of the century with heroes such as Homer Simpson and Seinfeld...

Well, like I said, both forms of social control have their downsides. Honor code-based societies have problems with duels and violence in general. But shame-based societies are always essentially gulag archipelagos.

We had a good run here where we ran society based upon the rule of law and rational argumentation, but apparently people want to try out the extremes.

If 1/5 of women are crazy feminists.
If 1/2 of women are single
If 1/3 or women are in your dating age


1000 women
500 are single
166 are single and your age
If we concentrate the crazy feminists within single women of your age bracket.... then there are -34 non-crazy available women.

Hence, even though 800 out of 1000 women are sane, if you only hung around with catagorically dateable women, you’d think they were all crazy.
