1. You don't think if there would be it would have a niche following like Kdramas and Jdramas?BjornP wrote:1. That you don't know them is just evidence that you don't know them. Not that they don't exist.
2. Look at the list below. France produces the 5th most movies in the world. Yet how many French movies or TV series do you watch? How many French TV series and movies can you name, and how many French TV series and movies do people you know watch? Again, even you can't name any, don't watch any or your friends don't watch any, doesn't mean that France in 2003 produced the fifth largest amount of movies.
There are simply cultural reasons we watch shows from one cultural region, but not another cultural region. For one thing, the points of reference from a show or movie where they to a vast extent believe totally different things about the world than you do, can make it hard to follow the plot.
3. No idea.
Stats from 2003:

Egypt at #24'th.
Denmark at 23rd, yet I think Brits and Americans are alot more familiar with TV series from my country than those from Egypt, even if we don't really export much TV and movies.
2.I watched plenty of french movies and multiple tv series.
3. By they way i just remembered Kdramas had their own streaming services and maybe they still exist. If the entire Arab world could not warrant a streaming services maybe there is not much there.
