The US Dollar rules the world, that's a big difference compared to whatever past scenario you are trying to project unto the present. Also Nuclear Weapons exist, shit has changed bro, there are more differences between then and now than there are similarities. A few state governments overspending isn't going to bring you down anytime soon, the USA is stronger than you think, those are minor speed bumps at best, and yet you see them as an indication that the Sky is about to fall on the US economy.
You're pre-disposition to viewing things as a catastrophe is what blinds you from this reality, you go looking for confirmation that the sky is falling, and don't even look at anything that would indicate the opposite. Yet you wonder why your predictions are so off, lulz.
