*were

They betrayed God and now they are dispersed as chaff.

That Evangelical "chosen people" bullshit has to stop. That's not Christianity. These people are not even the Jews you see in the Gospels. There is no Temple. No priests. No sacrifice. What we call Judaism today is basically all the descendants of the Pharisees.

If there were still some Essenes around, I could probably get down with that. Those were some cool cats.

You don't have to worship Jews just to support letting them do this slow-motion reconquista of the Holy Land either. Just let them do their thing.

Well StA has an ally in Dan Carlin. Pulled from the twitter feed:

DC: The Net Neutrality changes soon to happen are a perfect blatant example of our political system's corruption.Follow the money. Cui bono?

DC: Yes,but how many little guys are there on the side of the move being considered? THATS the difference. Any podcasters? Any small biz owners?

DC: That's my experience too.I discuss this stuff with stakeholders all the time.Couching this as a "big govt regulation grab" is the strategy.

DC: The technical questions about load balancing, etc. are red herrings. That's not what they care about. Its content gatekeeping they're after.

DC: Stop pretending that a"solution"is what any1's after. This is a turf war between large entities w/us as bystanders. Its 1938 and we're Poland.

DC: I live & work in the realm dealt with here by these proposals.Ive done my research and thought a lot about it.Do you think I'd do otherwise?

... so, there it is. End of the world. I hope Dan Carlin is still able to release his bi-annual hardcore history episode, but probably not. Not now that we’re living in the throwback internet of 2015.

Wait ... was he podcasting back then?

And yet DC has a VERY strong opinion that Poland would be better off with the Soviet invaders than the Nazi ones.

The difference being that I don't claim to be impartial, "we're Poland," and then in the next breath advocate for one side.
