I wouldn't be starving in the wilderness, but for the sake of argument: no. I get that atheists can't imagine why anybody would say that (or believe it), however. But, lol, no thanks.

I take that back. Atheists like Camus or Sartre are cool by me. They'd never accept that either.

Wow, you folks don't have a lot of experience without law & order. Slavery has been better than non-slavery for most of human history, unless you're the master, which is like being part of the 1%.

One has to submit to slavery. It's a choice between death and slavery. Perhaps this goes back the warrior caste issue.

Kings didn't keep their vassals with a handful of knights. Those folks WANTED to be serfs. It was better than the alternative.

The alternative was literally death at the hands of knights.

Plenty of folks ran off to live in the forests.
