I think a mental competency exam by a team of 3rd party doctors outside of Washington DC would be the way to go. I'm pretty sure we could weed out the oldest 10% of Congress right there.

Congress has a limitation of how old you need to be to be part of congress, yes?
25 for the House, 30 for Senate. I believe there are age restrictions with Commissioned officers maybe adopt those. Maybe once you hit 80 time to give it up.
Age of retirement would probably be better.

Gotta give it up for old man McCain in this clip from yesterday (?)

I suppose it's possible that with extreme age comes extreme carelessness, possibly a net positive if enough of these old fucks decay into their 90s and start babbling some truth

80 isn’t the age of retirement.

Too bad McCain doesn't have that kind of passion for sticking to his campaign promises.

I agree that we should have an age limit for all public offices.

For the average American 67 is the age of retirement through SS. Make it coincide with the retirement age dictated by SS.

No thanks. The retirement age for AS should be changed as it is. And for a senior position on a board, which is what an elected official is, the age can be older it should be older. 75, 78 something like that.
