Even college football isn't safe from this. Some New Mexico players did this at a game against Air Force. Yes, Air Force.

Normally, college teams aren't on the field for the anthem, but due to lightning the anthem was played at halftime. This gave players the opportunity to kneel.
I keep seeing apologists saying "These protest are not about the anthem and never were". Then don't do it during the anthem. They still don't understand why people are so upset with this.
