Valid point. The shock of paying a higher price would certainly change the way we look at food.
Once we're done "freeing the slaves", perhaps we could address the real suffering in this factory system.

It's about time animals had rights.
Pigs are very smart animals and that practice is barbarous.

They're about as smart as dogs. Maybe moreso, in some ways.

Not all animals are equal. Some taste better than others.

And who gets to exercise the animal's rights on their behalf? What rights exactly?

So Monty is anti-bacon already. His unraveling is faster than expected, but unsurprising.

Factory farming makes for a better tasting meat. Since the animals are mistreated, their bodies release fear and stress hormones. These hormones give the meat a richer, fuller taste. Thats why bacon taste so good. You are actually eating terror. A scared pig is a tasty pig. Mmmmmmm.

Well, over here we have farming inspectors and of course the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
The RSPCA will prosecute on behalf of the animals.
The right not to experience cruelty would be a good start.
