Basically as an "outsider" President, this is the way Trump could make something done. Just have a few Republicans aboard with him and then make a deal with the Democrats. Not something that you make many times, but in some occasions.

What exactly was the deal though (I have already forgotten)? Although, he surely did piss off Republicans in Congress with this deal.

Raised the debt ceiling, and funded FEMA with magic-money.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

Oh, well I know about the debt ceiling but what does Trump get out of this? His wall, or what?

He gets to remain in charge of a functioning economy for another year.

Haven't payed much attention to it but if I understand correctly there were some sort of riders on the bill to pass out FEMA funds while raising the debt limit that the democrats wanted to fund their various pork barrels.

I think ninety republicans voted against the bill. Not exactly a route but not a very strong show of force either.

Well, yeah FEMA Funding and Hurricane Relief Funding was probably the main drive to get this deal done but I am loving hearing how the GOP is responding to this- in anger because Trump is going to raise the debt ceiling.

Just more grandstanding, a'la ACA. There is no other option, at this point, and they would do the same thing. They have to make a show for the base though

There was absolutely no way that their supporters would allow them to short changed Texas.
