Well doesn't that just make things right in the world, I wonder if they are going to hold themselves responsible if anything happens to a person's credit because of their fuckups?

Equifax, one of the United States’ primary credit reporting agencies, announced Thursday that its databases had been breached. Private information on more than 143 million people in the US, including Social Security Numbers, driver’s license numbers, addresses, birth dates, and credit card information may now be out in the wild. This is the largest such incident in history.

A lot of things need to happen. One thing that may happen because of this is that credit scores may be a thing of the past because of this.

I was autoenrolled in the identity protection system when I checked if my info was compromised.
Jokes on whoever steals my info. My credit score isn't good enough to get a pack of hot dogs on loan.

Doesn't matter... and you aren't automatically enrolled you have to go back in a few days to verify everything... I doubt it's a free service either.

Yeah I have to finish it. If you're not compromised you get the option to begin enrollment. Pic related is what you're shunted to if you are compromised

Don't bet on it, too many people were affected by this if anything this could be as bad, if not worse than a market crash.
