Well, that's because you're a grumpy ol' killjoy who would be terribly pained if a random pedo or two were suddenly blown into the ether never to be seen again.

A legitimate pedo? Sure, I'll help you tie him to the mast. Just prove that he's what you think he is, first.
A guy that gets caught on a flooded road with his family, because he pissed on a beach during Spring Break '00? Jail that stupid sheriff, because this is insanity.
The list includes men who had sex with their high school girlfriends (and never seems to include the girlfriends for some odd reason). It includes people who were caught having sex on the beach.
Pretty much all of us born and raised in Florida belong on that list by those two counts.
If they limited it to actual sex predators (like grown as adults preying on children or actual rapists), then it wouldn't be so offensive, but you know Florida prosecutors and the criminal justice system can't keep it simple. They are all about criminalizing half the state. It's one of the reasons I fucking hate that state so much.

We have our own resident meteorologist in Nukedog.
Hurricanes are similar to tropical depressions. Depression is the important word here. People need to understand that such feelings can often form a self fulfilling prophecy, and negative thinking can lead to negative weather outcomes. People see these hurricanes on the media, and they get upset. They feel powerless and unable to do anything. We all know what happens next. If you fear the worst, and get sad about the weather, how can you be surprised when your house gets blown away? I'm tired of being my own worst enemy. I'm not going to let my feelings determine whether or not this becomes a category 5 storm. Daily affirmations, exercise, and positive visualization all help combat tropical depression. Medicine won't help with the storm of the mind, or the storm of the Atlantic. On Sunday morning, I'm going to wake up look in the mirror and remind myself that I am wonderful, and I am in control of the barometric pressure. And I am. Then I'm gonna go on a bike ride. I'm not going to let this hurricane become real. The only powerful gales are your own fears and inadequacies. Why would I feed into something like that? Buying water, gasoline, and batteries is for the weak. They have already let the hurricane win. I'm not going to prepare for this storm, because I know it's only as real as I make it. I encourage other Florida residents to do the same. If we start thinking about this with a sense of courage and adventure, there is no reason why any of us should see a rainy day ever again.

If congress wasn't such a bunch of do-nothings, they'd pass a bill making category 5 hurricanes illegal.
