I heard that Art Bell passed away recently and I thought he was a better Coast to Coast host than the current one. RIP.

Well, that's pretty much what 95% of the audience has said for years now. When he was still living in the Philippines, he had another radio show called (I think) Dark Matters. There are still episodes on YouTube. They were much like the original C2C content before Woo Woo Norey took over.

Absolutely no reason to listen to C2C while he was still recording this stuff. Sad day.

I always thought that Art was a) listening to the actual calls/guests and b) actually engaged the caller/guest. Norey (I guess that is his name) is basically a guy that would just sit there and agree with everything he is hearing. Always thought that Art was the better one and the better listener/host.

Also, thanks for posting that radio show. I didn't know he did those as well nor lived in the Philippines.

Damn, what a shame.

Always remember this: Marines die, that's what were here for! But the Marine Corps lives forever. And that means you live forever!

He played a helicopter pilot in one of the greatest scenes of all-time.

I can watch that over and over.

Local guy, saw him around town periodically, met him once while working at the gas station. Part owner of a local brewery where his FMJ uniform is on display
