Yeah, because the world wars have not been covered enough in film. We really need to explore that genre for a change..

The sicario sequel was actually pretty good. Mediocre ending, but it was pretty decent. Check it out if you get the chance.

Hey man your back. Make some more recent movie or tv show recommendations. There's nothing out there for me I guess right now. Knightfall has mediocre reviews so...heydaralon wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 1:50 pmThe sicario sequel was actually pretty good. Mediocre ending, but it was pretty decent. Start watching the Deuce. It is the best show I have seen since the Wire and Sopranos. Second season just started, first season is a year old. Great TV. Media corporations have figured out how to make good tv. There is a formula that they use, and it puts like 2 dozen shows from the last 5 years at the same artistic place. They are entertaining, and more quality than NCIS Detroit, but not amazing or transcendent. David Simon and George Pelecanos wrote the Wire which is the best show ever made by a country mile (I say this as a diehard Sopranos fan which is my second favorite show ever made). The Deuce is not the wire, and it might not even be the Sopranos, but it is great. There is some SJW themes, but I still love it. Seriously check it out.GloryofGreece wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 1:59 pmHey man your back. Make some more recent movie or tv show recommendations. There's nothing out there for me I guess right now. Re: The Great Movie Thread
American Animals is the best movie I have seen this year. I saw it at a theater that plays indie films with my girlfriend. Made by the guy who made the imposter, which is in my top five docs of all time. Great movie, which is a rare thing these days. No superhero or comic book stuff, so fortunately we didn't develop down syndrome upon leaving the screening...

Better Call Saul is enough criminal activity for me. I'm also kind of getting tired of soft or not so soft porn tropes as enticing as they can be. That's what actual porn is for.Though ill admit Spartacus was worth watching.heydaralon wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 3:18 pmAmerican Animals is the best movie I have seen this year.
