You know the movie E.T. ?

With the kids riding their BMX around in the suburban foothills ?

That was the lifestyle, except my grandparents had a swimming pool too
sounds awesome.
Idyllic Americana

Except for the hydrogen bombs, it was utterly care free

Agreed on all fronts.
Capps, have you watched Sneaky Pete? Its about a con artist who steal somes guys identity and lives with his family. It concluded its third and final season awhile ago. Its not Sopranos good or anything but its entertaining. I'd put it on par with something like Dexter. IF you have seen it, you might like it. Bryan Cranston plays the bad guy in season 1 and steals every scene he's in.
I watched the first series of sneaky Pete but lost interest after a couple of episodes of series two. It just seemed like more of the same. Is it worth persevering?
I like the characters. Giovanni Ribisi (Pete) plays a great con artist imo, and Bryan Cranston is an epic villain. If you like heist type stuff, then you'd probably like the ending. Most con artist movies like the Oceans series are terrible to me. But I think Bryan Cranston alone makes season 1 worth watching.

Capps and Smitty:

NewFoundland is viewed as a shithole by most Canadians right? I have heard jokes that they are inbred and have watched vids with their accent. To me it sounds like Benicio Del Toro from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, so I dig it, but they seem to have a bad rep from the Canadians I talk to. Why is that? Is it just a really rural area?

To the kids at my high school in Toronto, I was actually The American Kid

There was another American, but it was a chick

I was the only American on the football team

Monte, the season 2 and 3 villains are not as good either. I still enjoyed the show. However, the season 2 villain is an acid throwing maniac, so there's that. He's pretty damn cool.

No, it's not a shit hole, it's beautiful there and the people are very friendly

What it is, is that Newfoundland was a separate British Colony, didn't join Canadian Confederation until 1949

So there was always a rivalry between Canadians and Newfies

Canadians look down on Newfie's like Democrats look down on Fly Over Country

But in the end, it actually just reflects the priggishness of Canadians and Democrats

I think the Titanic sunk somewhere off the coast of NewFoundland too, so I can see how the British, Irish, and Americans would still be sore about them placing that iceberg there.

Oh ya, that's a solid Smittyism

You wrap her up from behind and put your cold hands right down in her panties till she squeals with delight
