I mean I guess you can say that those statues are a symbol of a bygone era where people were once put in chains and also a group that took arms to their nation for slavery, and they are being honored. But if the local government wants to get rid of them then sure why not? I mean if a town wants to remane a stupid street, park, and/or remove a statue what is stopping them really?
That sounds great Penner. Very Democratic. Elected local governments making the right decision.
BUT, this is what is happening
Not Democratic
Not Grass Roots
An Intolerant Radical Group
Being Paid to destroy
Being Paid to Intimidate local governments into doing what they want.
See that photo, what a great photo op............... almost as if it were staged. Statue on the ground, tie Trump and GOP to the KKK and Racism.
I'm a little surprised you support this intolerance Penner.
It seems very grass roots to me and I haven't heard about anyone being paid to destroy anything (and again I don't believe in any Soros and Democrat involvement here). Just that the demographics are changing and along with that is a different attitude to what they see as a symbol of racism and a bygone era of slavery, oppression, treason, murder, etc....
I guess the time are just changing and some people are trying to drag their feet.
Look white culture to me isn't about the Confederacy and I don't identify as a Confederate nor do I hold any sympathize with them. If anything my culture would be the opposite as a Northern. My people fought to preserve the Union and not to secede from it-so I just don't really give a fuck. People will always remember the Civil War, like how people will always remember WWI and WWII (or at least until they stop teaching to school children).
So, overall, this isn't a sign that "white culture" is being eased and I would rather have more people identify white culture with people like the Greek/Roman philosophers, calculus, etc.... then Southern Confederates.
