Re: Coronavirus thread
If you spot anyone opposing funding for a cure, let me know.
Or anyone actually looking for a cure.
Or anything resembling responsible medical policy.
There are a lot of diseases out there, and this is a minor one. The only reason you’re in such a panic is because you’ve watched your society shut down over it.

Re: Coronavirus thread
Tell me I live in fear. I deployed to combat zones. If the immunologist tells me there's fuck all they can do, there's a not-so-insignificant chance I am going to Ukraine. Fuck getting covid every few months until I die. I would rather die for a people worth dying for -- and it's not you people lol. None of these people are going anywhere. If the war happens, they are going to bitch about relief personnel not giving them enough candy in their rations.

5 Gen is years away in CanadaSpeaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 12:44 pmDo you realize Canada could realistically have several aces in less than a week if they try to throw that shit air force over the arctic against your fifth gen fighter wings?Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 12:39 pmright ?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 12:31 pmThis shit is super boring. What even happened to you guys? It feels almost like a Q Anon group now.
but the RCAF actually has a nice stop gap
there's nothing actually wrong with F/A-18 for A2A
but they have retrofitted new radar
there is a version of the AN/APG-79 AESA, the Block 4
it's the radar from the Advanced Super Hornet built to fit the legacy Hornet
then they have bought AIM-120D & AIM-9X
and they have JHMCS for HOBS
so for A2A the RCAF Hornets are good to go

I wonder how many of those F-15EX Boeing can get off the production line. Imagine if they can just keep launching all the best missiles the cylons ever made that they can just hand off to anybody in the theater. Like you could have 2-4 EXs lingering really far back and a single F-35 out front. That F-35 can target everybody out there. I don't even think the Russians can launch more aircraft across the arctic at once than those EXs can carry.

Re: Coronavirus thread
bear in mind that with the passive scanned Phazatron ZUK radar & R-77 BVR missiles
even the Russian Flanker doesn't stand a chance at the MAR
the APG-79 AESA & AIM-120D way out ranges them
like Indian Air Force Sukhoi Su-30's with NP011 Irbis radar & R-77
can't even compete with Pakistani F-16's with mechanically scanned radar & AIM-120C
in every way the Russians are overrated
with the exception of their submarines, where they spend most of their money

like a Russian nuclear submarine
that literally costs more than a Space Shuttle
they spend more on submarines than they do on the rest of their military combined
and their submarine crews are not conscripts, they are the Russian super elite

Re: Coronavirus thread
are American submarines quieter ?
yes, but not by that much, it's not a massive margin
meanwhile the Russian submarines are faster, deeper diving, longer endurance, more heavily armed
and masters of operating under the ice
this is the primary threat
this is the force maneuvering against the CONUS

Re: Coronavirus thread
and again, they can attack the CONUS anywhere in the world
two most likely actions being
they start cutting the undersea cables which carry the internet
they start interdicting the Sea Lines of Communication; blocking global trade
that impacts us, literally that night, when we are in a major global crisis

Re: Coronavirus thread
they can block any choke point at any time, with impunity
Panama, Gibraltar, Dardanelles, Bosporus, Suez, Hormuz, Malacca
it doesn't have to be comprehensive
just the threat of Russian submarines sinking ships,
will send commercial sea traffic to port, to park
this is not World War Two
these are nuclear attack submarines
no merchant ship stands a chance out there against them
so again, all merchant ships will park in the face of it
all commercial shipping grinds to a halt, in a matter of hours

Those radical terrorists in India came up with a wild scheme of vaccination using inactivated virus.
