Dude, stop. I already proved the lie of the Lysol hoax. Hoaxing the president relentlessly then complaining he has no credibility is disingenuous. Bush Jr. was stupider and did measurable damage to the world but he’s wasn’t hoaxed.

I guess "disingenuous" is the soy-boy catchphrase for "You refuted my point", "I don't understand", or "stop bringing reason into this", given HM's and SF's affection for throwing it around.

Give a range of dates that are considered very early on please
I remember reading the news in late January or early February when even the dicey info coming out of China at the time showed that the elderly and people with otherwise compromised health were suffering dire complications, while most infected weren't suffering enough to consider calling in sick to work.

These details haven't seemed to have changed all that much. I am confident that the White House was making a reasonable calculation about issuing overly restrictive federal guidelines since at least early March, but instead of clearly communicating this, we just got a bunch of self aggrandizing.

Jan. 14 The WHO said no proof of human to human transmission

Jan 20 first case in US.
CDC develops a test that will later be found faulty.

Jan 24 Senate is briefed

Jan 27 WHO says risk is high

Jan 29 Trump forms task force
Travel suspended to China
68 total cases outside China, 3 in US

Jan 31 Trump admin calls it a public health Emergency.

Feb 3 CDC said we need tests for local use rather than all going through Atlanta

Feb 6 CDC sends their tests to state labs and find they are faulty.

Other tests are available, but the FDA will not approve

March 11 WHO declares pandemic
CDC warns people NOT to wear masks

Apr 3 CDC does a 180 and says you should wear a mask.

To me it appears Trump was following the lead of the Experts in Science.

(Did you spell “disingenuous” correctly the 1st time trying? It took me a time or 2.)

p.s. I was using it in a boomerang fashion: “ironically,” you might say.

We had a Zoom meeting about it but Nuke zoom-bombed us and started disingenuously posting Hitler memes, and we had to cancel. I haven't stopped shaking.

I don't know why you would quote the CDC on the 1918 pandemic as evidence of what we didn't know about this one. I suspect you are being disingenuous.

/shrug

I suspect you didn't actually read what I said, because it's clear you didn't comprehend.

"Nor can we simply mass-assume "The elderly are always at greater risks, cut them the pre-cog stimulus checks" because during the last pandemic."
I read, and understood. The very early information about THIS pandemic was that it was worse on the elderly and immune compromised. It doesn't take mass-assumption.

Yes, DB, different diseases have different vectors for transmission, and different effects so we can't mass-assume. But you can't pretend that nobody knew anything about the specifics of THIS disease until half way through March.
HAIL!

Her needs America so they won't just take his shit away like in some pussy non gun totting countries can happen.

I did spell it right the first time . . . because I quoted someone who spelled it right and copied their spelling in my reply.
