I completely disagree. I think identity is fundamental to being human. What is not a big deal to you likely is your white identity or your identity as an American or even the identity as a westerner. Somewhere in there your identity is fucked. The reason liberals are adopting other cultures and customs is because they care so much about identity that they want to destroy our own.

It's not an obsession. The obsession is more with understanding human nature. It's the left that is absolutely obsessed with identity. Trying to lose your identity is also a kind of obsession. Denying you have one or it really matters to you belies some deep issues. You are still human. You are doing to your identity what JD does to his physiology.

The anti-identity people are perhaps the most bizarre specimens in our society. The others might be more cancerous to our society, but this one I find interesting.
