There was a popular Twilight Zone episode that really captures the nature of the effete liberal on the throne called "It's a Good Life". There was this little boy that had the power to make people literally disappear. He proceeded to wage a campaign of terror on the community. Anybody who upset him was disappeared. He even had the power to read your mind (analogous to Obama's ability to spy on all your communications and private effects) and would kill anybody who even thought about trying to end the terror.

Even crazier, he takes over entertainment media, allowing people to watch television for an hour each night with stupid, horrific shit he creates from his imagination. Everybody has to pretend like it's amazing television (Netflix).

The writer of this story was just imagining what could happen if an immature, entitled child gains a lot of power, but he might as well have been describing non-serving, beta liberals gaining political power. Just think about that absolutely insane video clip of Hillary Clinton gloating about destabilizing Libya and killing the dictator. She has no concept of the misery she inflicts. Because 97% of the electorate pays no costs for the wars they vote for, and they sure as shit don't want to lose their benefits and tax breaks to pay for treating the lifetime aftermath of war in the troops they sent overseas without a care in the world.

All we have as veterans is each other.

I know full well where a civil war may lead, and it's the reason I am going to protect my son from shit like that ever from happening if I have a choice.

As for the soldiers having each other, that's your problem... they don't just have each other, you all may have lived through shit together, but know what, life sucks, not all of us don't know what it means to fight internally against our own demons.

You may say I will never know what it means to kill another person. No, perhaps not, but I know what it feels like while having the blood of one of your best friends bleed out on you, and there was shit you could do to stop it... I know what it feels like being helpless watching the life go from a person, the eyes of a person from shining, to a cloudiness, their last breath taken as they die in your arms.

And there was nothing I could fucking do...

So don't tell me we civilians don't know the shit you went through, the death you may have seen... I've seen the other side of it, more times than I care to admit. I've buried too many friends because of wars and the lack of support they got.

I have heard their stories, I have heard their please for help, and I have been there at the end... so please, don't treat me like I don't know shit. I know enough that it still haunts my dreams.
