Noticed it driving home from picking up my bowling league payout. Looked nearly red here.
Bowling league payout?
Did you win a competition?
Everybody gets a little something at the end of the season, based on finishing order. My team was 5th of 8, so we got some money back. They just ended the season early and treated it as a short one.
Did you get a participation trophy? ;)
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Lol not really. At $20/wk over 30+ weeks, you pay in a bundle. You get some back at the end, like a tax return based on performance.

Only the top 1-2 teams make any money from it, it’s just for funsies. Then there are weekly 50/50 drawings, and a side prize for bowling the most over average etc.

I won the over-average prize 2 weeks in a row before the shutdown. Was just getting on a roll. ;)
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

Boris is on the mend. Continuing to improve and sitting up in his bed. Hasn't needed a ventilator.

Greater Manchester police have had to break up over 1000 mass gatherings since 25th March. Over 500 house parties and 126 street parties.
WTF?

The bad news: a paper just dropped showing at least 30% of the recovered have such a small antibody count to not even qualify as being immune to a second infection. Shit just got really bad.

I try to tell people this, but they don't believe me

A novel virus is a completely new life form, alien invader

We have generations of immunity built up against common coronavirus

The Super Cold is unpredictable

It attacks the lungs, it attacks the stomach too apparently, it attacks the heart, it attacks the brain

When the Bug encounters antibodies, it doesn't capitulate, it just works the problem

The protein spikes are like lockpicks, and they are evolving in real time

We might need to fight this medieval-style. Lock down our communities. Strict isolation and contact tracing within our communities when infections arise. Turn away strangers if possible, and otherwise require a strict quarantine (the true meaning of the term: 40 days) before they are allowed contact with our communities. Start allocating land and resources to produce our own food and quarantine all goods coming into our little zones.

The mistake here is that we are trying to solve this problem globally first, then nationally, then by state, and so on. It's completely fucking backwards. We have a lot of control outside the cesspool cities to establish enforceable perimeters. We can round up the New Yorkers and other pandemic travelers and kick them out (they can always return home so it's not like you are hurting them -- they are hurting you and trying to appeal to a false altruism to take advantage of you, which is what urbanites always do to the rest of the country). Even in areas that are somewhat smaller in population, but sprawled out, you can break that up and defend neighborhoods, etc.

We need to work on how we do groceries and supplies in a big way. Little things like handling produce and boxes and then putting them back must end for the time being. One-way isles enforced. Strict limits on the numbers of people allowed in the store. Bust out the front windows and put in windows that open to the outside to get fresh air inside instead of central air conditioning. Maybe even not allow people to go into the store at all. Place your order online and pick that shit up. All grocery store employees must be properly gloved and masked, same with distribution, and no close contact with the customers at all. No loading shit into the vehicles. Employee leaves cart next to the vehicle and the customer loads it himself.

Oh, and this trend of people spitting on things and trying to infect others on purpose: death penalty. Not even joking. Anybody who does that needs to go.

We just had a guy sent down for three months for spitting at a copper.
