Chatting to a thatcher who came to help and he said that the police had told his scaffolders to go home. They had to apply to the council for permission to put it up.

Everybody gets a little something at the end of the season, based on finishing order. My team was 5th of 8, so we got some money back. They just ended the season early and treated it as a short one.
