Based Chinks mock Momma Merkel
http://archive.is/pq4eqThe Mercator Foundation Merics reports that more and more Chinese are mocking German Chancellor Angela Merkel, calling her a "Baizuo". The word means translated can be translated as "white left." Baizuo therefore stands for "naïve, educated people" who, for example, are committed to peace, justice, refugees, minorities or the environment. That's what the "world" says.
"Merkel's end and Germany's sad future" in the "Urban Dictionary" refers to the negative term: "The Chinese regard Baizuo as ignorant and arrogant Westerners who pity the rest of the world and think of themselves as saviors."
The "Baizuo" attacks against Merkel are now mainly driven by Chinese internet users.
According to Merics, China's propaganda apparatus is "practiced in using foreign news to express criticism of liberal democracies while promoting China's political system."

This is all before Trump started showing support for far right terrorist organisations. The lack of support from his own citizens stems from his stances on issues like global trade and climate change, according to the poll. A mere 38 percent of Americans supported Trump’s standpoint on trade deals.
The strong showing for Merkel, who had an awkward first encounter with Trump and has publicly condemned many of his nationalist policies, like the decision to pull out of the Paris climate accord, was even greater across the globe. People in 17 of the 19 G-20 countries (the 20th is a delegate for the European Union) picked Merkel over Trump, with only India and Russia swinging for the billionaire.
In many countries, including those long serving as allies to the U.S., Merkel dwarfs Trump as a figure of confidence in world affairs. In France, she has 79 percent support, while South Korea (74 percent), the United Kingdom (68 percent), Canada (66 percent), Japan (57 percent) and Australia (70 percent) also gave her very strong backing.
The showing of global support could help Merkel as she faces a new election in September. The 62-year-old saw her approval ratings plummet last year due to terror attacks in Germany and her open immigration policy for refugees from the Middle East. But of late she and her Christian Democratic Union party have rebounded. In March, Merkel earned a 60 percent approval rating, an increase of five percent, even though the party itself had remained level in terms of support, DW reported.
Polls released in May found Merkel even picked up significant support from younger voters. Forty-seven percent of those between the ages of 18 and 24 said they would choose Merkel over the Social Democrat’s candidate, Martin Schultz, for Germany’s highest executive office.
Trump hasn’t received nearly as much national support during his first six months in office. Recent polls found that Trump had a 37 percent approval rating, compared to 47 percent of the country that wants him to be impeached.

Well, if the need is prevention of pregnancy, there is a legitimate need, which is greater than simply wanting to look good in the mirror. True, it is not a medical neccesity like the curing of a disease, but if a woman does not want to be pregnant, I'd rather that doctors administer birth control pills than she gets pregnant and decides on an abortion.Speaker to Animals wrote:As far as a need, a woman doesn't "need" birth control pills either. Preventing conception is not a medical necessity. Doctors prescribe drugs and provide treatments that are not medical necessities all the time. Medical necessity is not a valid argument against providing scripts for these drugs and hormones so a man can build muscles.
What matters here is risk. While birth control pills actually cause quite a lot of problems in society due to the number of women using them and the long durations for which they use them, the individual risk is pretty low. That's why doctors don't mind handing out scripts. It's not different for testosterone. Lots of women have totally fucked up their hormonal system with those drugs too. It's a good analog.
Looked that up, and didn't know it impacted sperm count and delayed puberty for men and disrupts ovulation for woman. That's pretty major side effects, tbh, even if it's from long-term use. Even better arguments against legalization.Speaker to Animals wrote:
Not that the analogy would be broken if marijuana had no hormonal effects, since it has detrimental effects far worse than testosterone anyway, but yeah, it does have hormonal effects. Pretty bad ones. It delays puberty, wrecks sperm counts, and disrupts ovulation. It definitely has adverse hormonal effects.

Pretty sure that's psycho-somatic, actually. But we'll never know. We can't even study the effects of a "Class I Narcotic" on humans.BjornP wrote:Looked that up, and didn't know it impacted sperm count and delayed puberty for men and disrupts ovulation for woman. Huh? So, you're saying that those results are simply from some regular smokers or digesters of marihuana products, who read about hormonal disturbances and thought their own hormonal imbalances into being as a result of their marihuana use? If not, please clarify.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Pretty sure that's psycho-somatic, actually. But we'll never know. Not implying that it’s a hypo-chondriac thing. Regular pot smokers are obviously much more relaxed, less aggressive, less ambitious than a control group. The lower hormone levels are an effect of this lifestyle, not a cause.BjornP wrote:Huh?
