She died from a heart attack that occurred because of the shock of the car crash happening right next to her. The car crashed because Fields was trying to escape a squad of Antifa, led by Dixon, who attacked him with semi-automatic rifles.
Felony murder is what Dixon and his crew should be prosecuted with.
If I charge into a bank with a rifle, and in the commotion people fleeing for their lives trample some old lady.. guess who gets charged with felony murder? Me.
Antifa should be prosecuted.

Cassandra Fairbanks figured it out pretty fast (except for the fact that Heyer actually died from a heart attack, which to this day the authorities try to keep secret, even though it's right there on video).

Dixon admits to attacking Fields and chasing him off, only to crash into pedestrians. Felony murder. It's a felony to brandish rifles and ambush people. Duh.

No, just no. You are directly assaulting people in that example in those chain of events. That maybe felony murder although I doubt it would be prosecuted. Your ridiculous chain of events leading to cardiac arrest by osmosis just doesnt fly. Someone has to be culpable for the killing there is no radius for felony murder it has to be direct. Like people are directly trampling that women she didnt seize into a heart attack. Even if the person directly responsible has an affirmative defense they still are admitting to killing the old lady. You cant out of one side of your mouth say fields is not responsible or culpable in her death and then out of the other say he his to get to Dixon. It doesnt work like that. Either he hit her or he didn't, either he killed her or he didn't.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 5:00 pm

It is literally what felony murder means. If a person dies as a result of you committing some felonious act, then you can be charged with felony murder. There are people in prison everywhere for this crime, even when it was their own criminal buddies that got killed in the commission of the felony.clubgop wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 6:40 pmNo, just no. Dixon is responsible for that fat chick's death.
https://legal-dictionary.thefreediction ... urder+RuleA Rule of Law that holds that if a killing occurs during the commission or attempted commission of a felony (a major crime), the person or persons responsible for the felony can be charged with murder.
Generally an intent to kill is not necessary for felony-murder. The rule becomes operative when there is a killing during or a death soon after the felony, and there is some causal connection between the felony and the killing.
The felony-murder rule originated in England under the Common Law. Initially it was strictly applied, encompassing any death that occurred during the course of a felony, regardless of who caused it. Therefore, if a police officer attempting to stop a Robbery accidentally shot and killed an innocent passerby, the robber could be charged with murder.
