the Germans & the Soviets worked together in the 1920s

the Soviet doctrine that came from it was Deep Operations

that was to punch a hole in the front line with concentrated armor,

then send an Operational Maneuver Group into the rear

this eventually became the Soviet Guards Tank Armies
