Excellent. We might, of course, want to consider how we evaluate "smart" and whether what they are "hard working" in is any benefit. We might benefit from importing some doctors and engineers, while importing a PhD in "Latino lesbian non-binary interpretive dance" maybe not so much? MS13 members might work hard, just not at something we really need...jediuser598 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 9:51 amI'm not shit posting. If someone is smart and hard working, let's offer them citizenship.
I can come up with a few criteria to evaluate for...
- apply for work visa/green card in country = SMART
- studying/applying for citizenship in country you want to stay in - SMART
- working in country legally, taxed and contributing to services used (roads, utilities, healthcare, etc) - SMART/HARD WORKING
- enter country illegally = NOT SMART
- break other laws while in country illegally - NOT SMART
- living in country illegally for 10+ years and never learning local language = NOT SMART
- spending years in country relying on "free" benefits you don't contribute taxes to - NOT SMART/NOT HARD WORKING
I'm sure I could think of others, but you get the point.

Fleeing an oppressive government to go and work hard in another country in order to take care of your family? That's about as un-American as you can get.Ph64 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 5:36 pmExcellent. The fuck?
Toyota has been the #1 Japanese manufacturer in the US for many years, and the only one to really challenge the top US brands such as Chevrolet and Ford. That said, it suffered a further drop during the late 2000s crisis than most of its competitors, seeing its sales fall from over 2m/year in 2006 to only 1.3m/year in 2011. However, it has rebounded strongly since, and in 2015 is on course to beat its 2006 sales record.

PLANO, Texas (Jan. 16, 2018) – In 2017, Toyota built 1,983,723 vehicles at its North American vehicle assembly plants. Production volume was down slightly from the previous year total of 2,124,608 vehicles.
Toyota’s total vehicle production in North America since 1986 has reached nearly 32 million. Key drivers of this year’s production include low fuel prices, continued stability in the overall economy and strong customer demand for trucks and SUVs.

I thought their countries weren't shit holes. But anyway, what you are saying by repeating the progressive talking point about fleeing oppression is that they fail at governing themselves and because of that we must take them in. To govern them in spite of themselves.jediuser598 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 7:10 pmFleeing an oppressive government to go and work hard in another country in order to take care of your family? What happened to the indigenous people when our forefathers came to what is now the US? They almost got completely exterminated by the immigrants.jediuser598 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 18, 2018 7:10 pmFleeing an oppressive government to go and work hard in another country in order to take care of your family?
