Too early to tell. If Democrats get the POTUS and the Senate I bet they will get at least some of their agenda through. Better than the GOP does when they have full control. Like I said, Democrats get their politicians to fall in line much better than Republicans.

Yep, that one where you dismissed the idea without any knowledge of how it would be calculated.DBTrek wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 10:54 amYou mean the carbon footprint debate where you were forced to acknowledge that the scheme relied on either bureaucrats or businesses inventing a carbon footprint number for goods that would be leveraged to manipulate markets Willy-nilku? The carbon footprint scheme that overlooked transportation costs, environmental factors, and dynamic inputs that would surely change the footprint value of it were to be *actually* measured instead of invented?Montegriffo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 10:43 am
What's it called when you do the opposite? That is, dismiss a report without checking the data or the methodology.
That would be just as bad, wouldn't it?
It's like the carbon footprint labelling argument all over again, you dismissed that with no knowledge of the data or methodology applied.
Raise the double standard DB.
Or perhaps I should simply say - that *other* debate where you deferred entirely to false authority and checked your mind out from the get-go.
Still doing it too by the look of it.

It’s disappointing that you have to fabricate falsehoods to protect your ego, but I suppose it’s hardly the worst thing anyone has done in the defense of their religion.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 11:18 am

Aren't nationalists and populists also collectivists?DBTrek wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 11:17 amWhy, it’s almost as if filthy collectivists are easier to herd and control than coalitions of free people and independent thinkers.PartyOf5 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 11:12 am

Republicans aren't exactly all libertarians these days.
Not that Democrats are... but couldn't they just as easily be....
Libertarians seem to be the swing vote.

Humans are social animals, so we’re all collectivists to some degree.
I think the difference is simply how far we prefer to go with that collectivism, the tipping point being whether or not you accept the supremacy of a central authority over tribal connections.

But many are jumping ship.
Not sure how many are looking to influence the democrats... but it would be cool if they did... it might freshen up the dank stench of cultural Marxism.
