That bottom one actually looks more appealing to me. You’ll notice the front grills get bigger when the economy peaks. We’re currently at maximum grill frontage.

Why would you even buy a Ford when you can buy a more advanced, better MPG and larger payload alternative?

I want to drive one of those restored older model Ford trucks. That way when the North Korean dictator saves us all with an EMP attack, I can drive around just fine while your little cylon vehicles are bricked.

I hate over complex car electronics as much as the next man but it's time to move on from cart springs on cars.

I’ve been thinking the same, but I’d have to learn a HELL of a lot more than I want to about car repair.

Yes. Obviously I’m a beta, if I don’t need a wall of chrome and noise to announce my manhood.

They are supposed to be fairly easy to maintain, relatively speaking.

I'm saving up right now for a 1942 pickup.

Needs restoration, but it be worth it in the long run.

I'm not sure it's fascist enough for the cover of the New Yorker, but a mid 70s International Harvester Scout II is hard to beat. 90% of what I know about auto maintenance and repair came from messing around with my dad's '74 Scout II in the early 80s.

That whole damn truck is like one big faraday cage. I mean there was nothing unnecessary in that vehicle. Every part we needed we ordered from J.C. Whitney. The only electronic thing on it was the winch and the am/fm radio and speakers I got at the walmart and bolted under the dash.

That bad boy looked about like this:

This was always the mental image I had of her when I was finally going to get her cherried up:
