Why not make the barbwire real so a person could actually get cut, make the ground move from shell blasts like a flight simulator, have them put on headphones with machine gun fire and shell bursts that would damage hearing, pipe in the smells of burning hair and flesh, urine and excrement.
They don't want to get sued.

Ah, that's easy. You sign a release and hold harmless before you enter.

I mean this is supposed to be hardcore right ?
Not that hardcore, he's trying to expand his audience and make money. Most people ain't down for that, and it's hard to blame them. You might like those changes, but don't project your views on the average person who would check out this VR experience.

Let's just put them through boot camp.

Boot Camp for Betas is now open for business (actually not a bad idea if you consider it).
Yeah, that would be far more hardcore. This thing is cool, don't get me wrong, but they are over selling it. It's not like you are going to get knocked over by a blast and bust your knee on a rock or fall in the mud or have rats crawling on you.

Sure.
I'm not slamming the product or motives, I'm commenting on the build up in promotional teaser video.
