Why do you care so much about labels from half a century or even a century and half ago? Neither party today represents the same constituents as it did in the 1860s. What matter is today. The GOP represents extremely few black and minority voters. Fact.

Because this is what they use against Republicans when it comes to voting, and when people pointed out that the women Democrats were only missing the hoods, people went full helter skelter and said that the KKK was the party of the Republicans.

I don't get how it's a "conspiracy theory", it's just a fact that southern whites left the Democrats for the GOP. Is that in dispute? If it isn't then what is this even about? If you take offense at anyone calling the current GOP racist, bringing up Lincoln from 150 years ago is not a very compelling argument, neither is calling out racist Democrats of 60 years ago. Is the fact that the GOP is overwhelmingly white being disputed?
