There are thousands of kids screaming and crying themselves to sleep right now, in a cage, at gunpoint. Because their parents walked them for a month across a desert, through cartel territory, and across a river, to get to a better life.

You might not like that they did it, but in their situations, you'd have done it too. These people are no different than you, they were simply born somewhere else.

Why do your immigrant friends fault the US as opposed to the "parents" for knowingly putting their kids in such a situation? Why do you immigrant friends think the US should have to take care of these peasants as opposed to the governments of the countries they come from? It's a good thing the law is being enforced. You guys are openly open borders, just for once in your worthless lives be honest about it. If they cross illegally and don't claim asylum, we can deport them all quickly. If the adults claim asylum that can't happen. There is a process and it should be followed unless you want to let criminals in and people claiming to be these kids parents but aren't. That sounds like what you want.
