You can kiss that PETA internship goodbye JohnDonne, especially if you are going to talk that way. Also, you made some offensive remarks about my career choice in an alternative lifestyle marital aid store awhile back which paint a dark picture of your homophobic mind...

What makes a good reporter? Documentation. I like that. Analysis is always a bitch though. Analysis is where bias has the easiest time getting in. I like the idea of just going to an event and documenting what happened, just the facts.

Re: Fake News
The reason these liberals hate blogs like Breitbart and Gateway Pundit so very much is not really because those blogs support opposing ideologies, but because they are relatively honest about what they are, and because of that honesty it is very easy for them to expose the lies and propaganda of the MSM journalists.
Think about all the fake news that has been exposed over the past several years. In almost every case it was exposed by blogs like those or YouTubers, etc.
This is why the lying journalists went on the offensive after the election with the coordinated fake news blitz. Hilarious that it blew up in their faces.
Just fucking be honest about what you are and where you are coming from. Once people stop calling themselves journalists the magic happens. Suddenly they are honest about what they are doing. You might not like their argument. It might be bullshit. But they are not pretending this is some objective accounting of the story. It's just their accounting. HuffPo is full of AIDS but at least they are honest about what they are. I might not like what they stand for, but I at least respect their honesty about what they actually are.

Re: Fake News
The liberal is fundamentally dishonest and doesn't understand this point because he doesn't believe there is an objective truth we all strive to understand. It's only competing narratives to him, which is only partly true. We all have competing arguments, but we are supposed to test these arguments to better understand the truth. They play this game to manipulate and acquire power. Big fucking difference.
Journalism and "fact checkers" like Snopes are all variations of the same lie: that we are the guaranteers that you get the full story. Of course they don't. They are lying.
It's similar to how almost all the liberals come in here presenting themselves as "moderates" only to lash out at anybody who doesn't toe the line for progressivism. The undercover hack meme exists for a reason.

All those Fake News 'Jounalists' that were laid off at the first of the year...………………………. YOU WERE PAYING FOR THEM
http://dcwhispers.com/did-obama-pay-jou ... QT7pQDP.97t was called the Countering Disinformation and Propaganda Act signed into law in 2016 by then-President Obama (and allowed by Establishment Republicans like Paul Ryan) that took effect in 2017 and allocated a whopping $160 MILLION taxpayer dollars over two years to pay for government-sponsored propaganda. The money is now gone and guess what? About 1000 journalists are suddenly being laid off.

You really cannot help but to constantly lie about what people post.
I said: the idea that "journalists" report facts and objective truth with the intent of providing you with all the information is a fraudulent idea.
Everybody has an agenda. Journalists are trying to persuade and manipulate no differently than anybody else. What makes it truly dishonest is how they write in a style that is supposed to signal that they are objective arbiters of what really is going on. NO SUCH THING EXISTS IN THIS WORLD.
It's all persuasian. It's like when a student gets assigned to write a paper on something like gun control. The student is going to choose data and examples that supports his thesis, while likely ignoring or downplaying counter-evidence. This happens everywhere. It even happens in hard sciences, which is why we have a process of verification, duplication, and hostile papers written by specialists who's primary role os finding flaws in experimental designs and statistics. There also exists LOTS of cases of massaged data and sometimes outright fraud.
Journalism is not only no different but much, much worse.

Re: Fake News
hey, did we all see that post earlier today where vox (among other dishonest news outlets quoted separately) was used and acknowledged (props carlus) as a legitimate source of objective information?
viewtopic.php?f=63&t=4208#p237960
sure they've got some opinionated fluff at the beginning where their dishonesty naturally rears it's ugly head, but the list of democrats calling for governor coonman to resign is accurate i bet. how do we grapple with the idea of a dishonest medium that can still provide honest information?
falls onto the individual to be their own arbiter of honest information i'd imagine. uh oh.

In fact, if you actually cared enough about this non happening that you are being told to care about, you could easily solicit their opinions yourself.
