And if it turns red it won’t be a place where you want to live anymore. You are just the same as most of us in the affluent blue states: you get good schools, low crime rates, high salaries, beaches and state parks, fun and relatively safe cities, major medical centers, tranquil suburbs, tourist and college towns, and all the amenities money and education has come to expect. Travel and see what you get in places where it’s every man for himself. Then tell me if you want to live there.
Does it mean I get to keep more of my money, rent is affordable, and I’m left alone?
I’m not yelled at for having toxic masculinity, or hit with a dildo because I’m a man, and I deserve it?
Do I have to worry about going through those towns and cities like Matpan (muderpan) or other places that have lines of homeless and drugged addicted people waiting for their treatment so they won’t do drugs?
The ones that spit on you, come up to you and cuss you because you are rich...
How about dealing with rents like mine ($2500) with nothing included ($3200) a month with normal bills go an apartment that is just under 1200 Sq feet in the suburbs?
There is a cost of “having everything”.
Honestly, give me a plot of land, a few acres to grow food on, and a semi-fast internet connection (not needed for me) and I’d be happy.
Living in Mass makes me realize one thing, an affluent blue state only works if you are rich, or poor. Be somewhere in the middle, and you get raped.
And BTW, I may be rich outside of Mass, inside it, I’m just above “living two checks before homeless”.
There is merit to some of what you’re saying, but this is capitalism. Desirable places are expensive. Densely populated places are diverse and so people have to be more tolerant of diversity.
Ummm, the places to live, renting at 2500/mo. Is not one of those places you’d think about raising a child.
I live in a condo complex, and I can tell you right now, it’s not worth 2500/mo. If anything it’s worth ½ of what I am paying... but we won’t see a true market correction because rich people are blind to money issues and poor people have everything given to them up here.
When someone on welfare in Mass gets nearly 70k worth of free services... there is a reason why things are expensive up here.
It’s because the state covers the win fall.

reading through an Intercept article from the left's point of view, this is the first i had heard of what a devil's triangle really is, didn't get much play round these parts
https://theintercept.com/2018/09/29/the ... kavanaugh/
Kavanaugh strained credulity when he argued before the Senate Judiciary Committee that the “Devil’s Triangle” — a phrase that appeared on his high school yearbook page — referred to a drinking game, a definition which, before Thursday, you’d have a hard time finding anywhere. (It actually refers to a sex act involving two men and a woman). He also unabashedly claimed that the term “boof” is a reference to “flatulence,” rather than other butt stuff, and that “ralph,” which means to vomit — implicitly from the overconsumption of alcohol — was a reference to Kavanaugh’s weak stomach.
lol @ urbandictionary
Devils Triangle
A made up game of quarters with three cups arranged in a triangle. The rules are unknown because the inventor of the game, Brett Kavanaugh, could not explain them under oath.
"Hey Renate? Want to play devils triangle with Mark and I?" Brett asked.
The fact that we are talking about a 17-year old as if they are mature is astounding. I think anybody under 30 is a dink.
sure i agree but his maturity wasnt in question, it's the whitewashing of his past that the article took into question
fascinating that we'll spend pages analyzing whether or not the ford woman is actually afraid to fly and ultimately perjured herself, but a similarly questionable assertion by this dude is dismissed as "lol that shits gay who would advertise something like that"
just making observations, dont mind me, i could be wrong

I wonder if my High School antics would help me or hurt me during a confirmation? In my case, I was the one technically being raped.

Mike, shit was different back then. Obviously there were some gay dudes, but they kept that shit well-hidden. Boys did not advertising doubling up on the same chick unless they were openly bisexual, which was rare.
Yeah, there was some seriously gay shit going on the 80s, but not in the kinds of circles he was running around in. They would have to keep that closeted.
The idea of crossing dicks was gay. No dick-fives for Gen X. No homo. This might just be a millennial thing, not really understanding how nasty gayness really is.

WTF are you talking about? She said she was afraid to fly yet she jet sets all over the place. Do you think Brett Kavanaugh is a member of a swingers club and should definitely know what a devil's triangle is in a modern context? An older relative of mine once reminisced on his marching band days playing an "old rusty trambone." Everyone under a certain age started dying but he had no idea. I guess he was the mastermind of a gang rape.

yeah you're right, we shouldn't even entertain the idea that this drunk dude was doing some drunk shit in his drunken teenage years and would downplay it in his supreme court confirmation hearing
i wasn't there in the 80s, i'm just making observations, anything is possible. i observed him at his most antagonostic when the yearbook questions were being asked, it set off a red flag. thats all, no need to pontificate about millennials not knowing about closeted gays or pretending like im defending the flight habits of the woman

Suddenly that garbage leftist sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean makes sense.
