That's the future that was offered to the vulnerable and elderly 18 months ago. Shelter at home so the economy can thrive and the rest of us can go about our business.
Well guess what, the unvaccinated are now the vulnerable.
Stay at home so the rest of us can get on with life.
Negative
If you want to live in fear, you stay home. I'm not trying to prevent you from doing anything. But you presume to tell me what to do.
I'm not living in fear though.
I'm certainly not afraid to take a life saving vaccine.

You're trying to prevent me from earning a living by getting all the pubs, festivals and film/TV productions shut down again.

Stay at home so we can stay open.
Sound familiar?
No one is preventing you from earning a living, except the government when they lock things down

stop blaming the unvaccinated and start blaming your authoritarian government

it's not the unvaccinated pushing the government to lockdown, the vaccinated are

people like you and the politicians pandering to you, they are preventing you from earning a living

not the unvaccinated, who are very much against the restrictions that put you out of work

That future was never offered to the elderly because the levers of government are in the hands of the elderly - and those selfish bastards have inconvenienced themselves exactly ZERO times for the good of anyone else.

But I have to ask - if you're vaccinated, how are the unvaccinated stopping you from getting on with life? Go do your job. Don't sweat it. You are, afterall, vaccinated, right?

Magic. They are not going to catch polio, right? This medical trial is working, right?

I don't feel anymore venerable than I did yesterday or the day before that. Monty's logic can't hold up to mild breeze. Let alone some strict scrutiny.

Individual citizens don't impose one restriction on another person or economic activity.

The Government is imposing the restrictions.

Blame individual citizens or blame the Government

if they weren't legally recognized as such

they couldn't be sued for breaking the law

you'd have to sue the individuals running it

and they could just be easily replaced

after being thrown under the bus as scapegoats

without the corporation taking the hit

using them as a shield from liability

those who think corporations shouldn't legally be recognized as people

be careful what you wish for

you just might empower the corporations to run amok

despite thinking you are neutering them from doing so

Instead we penalize the entire conglomerate like an individual. Brilliant solution.

Laughably small fees for ruining peoples’ lives become part of the operating budget.

better than the alternative

where they don't take any hit at all

instead of a laughably small one

obvious lesser evil is obvious

perfect is the enemy of good

if you come up with a better idea

that makes practical sense

on a large scale

lemme know

until then

whining about the status quo without a better alternative

is what the woke commies do

No Lockdown for the Elites down under
Chris Hemsworth shows off his washboard abs as he goes surfing in Byron Bay
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/a ... Byron.html

This is how it always works. If Barry Sartero wants to have a small party for 800 of his closest friends, with security and full catering on his Marthas Vineyard Estate, it's cool. No masks needed, neither COVID, nor climate change affects Marthas Vineyard.

The Science is settled. Elites or Ubermenchen, impervious to global killer dangers.
