My SWAG is that Putin doesn't want all of Ukraine. His speech clearly laid out he wants Russian Ethnic Ukraine. Also, I think he wants to disrupt US Control of the corrupt Ukraine government, maybe the most important part.

If he stops now he can claim X, Y and Z were threats to Russia and he had to deal with them.
perhaps

but there is no doubt that they have crossed the Rubicon

they are clearly out to destroy the Ukrainian military, right down to the wood

they are moving now, on the whole front, before NATO can strengthen Ukrainian forces anymore than they have

the Russians can't stop now

they have declared war formally under the Hague Convention

this is not an incursion, they are going for broke

what happens from here ?

uncharted territory

I have no doubt tho, that the Russian submarines are closing on the CONUS right now

US Navy submarines hunting them

this could escalate out of theater into the unknown, at any moment

because of what I know about strontium-90 ?

I know there is no point in digging a bomb shelter

but if you were ever going to dig a bomb shelter for any reason ?

do that now

I agree Smitty.

I expect China to make a move within 5 days. Especially if we get into it with Russia. Those two countries are clearly working together.

not sure if the Chinese were actually in on this

this seems like a power move by Putin, on both NATO and China at the same time

this is not a predictable trajectory tho

we can't see the silent war under the sea

but there is know doubt

this is Russian submarines moving to launch position

with American submarines chasing them

and I don't have much confidence in the National Command Authority right now

the Russians can't stop

they have to keep going now

this is win at all costs now

so there is no ceiling to this

in terms of an interpolar exchange ?

ICBM's against the CONUS ?

that will only happen by mistake

on the brink, somebody gets a false warning, launch on false warning incites launch on warning

but in this situation at DEFCON 3 threshold of DEFCON 2 ?

that shit could happen

this is more in flux than the Cuban Missile Crisis

but in terms of tactical nuclear strike in Europe ?

that is loaded up

why ?

because the Russians have crossed the Rubicon

they can't go back now

so if they were to start losing ?

that will be the threshold of Nuclear Deescalation

use of tactical nuclear weapons in theater

then you will see some widespread panic, like never before, like right out of a Preppers nightmare

just saying

I agree with you except I think China and Russia aligned with each other for now. After China Takes Taiwan they may go there separate ways. However I think after Taiwan they may set their sights on Japan and unleash NK on SK at the same time. That kind of madness will put the US in a horrible position. Of course this is worst case scenario.

fair enough

but if China moves on Taiwan right now

that is World War Three in progress then

if Putin wins

and NATO caves

that's just Cold War Two fully engaged

but if China moves at the same time ?

World War Three by definition

like I say tho

there is no ceiling

because it could go like this

Putin moves

America reacts

and America's reaction

then makes China decide that they have to go now, lean into it
