I smuggle plastic straws into Asheville. They can't stop me.

The threat of drones hitting an aircraft are about the same as the threat of birds hitting aircraft. Shit happens.
Birds don't respond to 1km exclusion zones around airports, is that a good reason to scrap that restriction on drones?
LOL

What gives you the idea I think drones should be allowed to fly around runway operations??

My point is that the alleged threat is what we already face all the time from birds. It's not the end of the world.

I provided a simple solution to the problem which could be applied to all sorts of areas people are not supposed to fly drones.
So you do approve of safety regulations, even if that danger does not constitute an end of the world risk?
I mean the world won't end if we let chimps replace pilots in commercial airlines will it?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Making air travel less risky is ridiculous.
DB wants a trained chimp to fly his planes as well as write all his posts.

The UK won't let its citizens own guns, own knives, express free speech, watch tv without a license, own pepperspray etc. They are a nation of toddlers. Each UK citizen has to spend an hour every day before naptime making a collage extolling the virtues of multiculturalism, using glue, dried macaroni, and construction paper. They are only allowed to use safety scissors to cut the paper, and each pair of safety scissors has to be accounted for and returned back to the Ministry of Arts and Crafts at the end of each day.

Funny, I do all of them perfectly legally.

Aye, the proud history of the UK is replete with stalwart figures obsessed over making everything “less risky”.

Lulz.

Nothing is less risky than being dead. I think I’ll wait my turn rather than trying to legislate my living hours towards it by degrees.

I think in less than 2 years it will be illegal in the UK to urinate standing up if that hasn't been made into a law already.

Now reducing risk is obsessive?
I reckon you should get a few more chimps and see how long it takes to come up with the complete works of Shakespeare.
