I’ve run. I’ve debated. I’ve been to the newspapers. I’ve been inside the machinery. You just have to hope a Trump comes along occasionally.

Your blind bi-partisanship is no better. Splitting the vote for the sole reason of preventing either one from getting too much power is just as blind.

Meh. It literally doesn't matter who is in office. Some minor details may change, but, the next team will be corrupt, will continue pick away at my freedom, bit by bit, will continue to grow the military, etc., etc., etc., ad nauseum.

I'm looking out for me, as does everyone else. Wall Street loves a split government, and I love my 401(K). It's an easy choice when I know that no serious changes for the better of The Governed will ever take place. I'm looking to retire in 8-12 years. That's my priority.

Prediction; in January, some sort of clown will propose they grab even more power to screw the other side. And so it goes. It's predictable and not boring at the same time.

These clowns keep making it easier and easier to skirt compromise. When you aren't required to talk to team "other," there is no reason to try and find common ground. This is why a split congress is good for Americans. All we get now is shitty legislation. If that's the only thing we can get, I would rather have a whole lot less of it.

The middle 40% of this country doesn't appreciate all the petty bullshit. They hate extremism on both sides. This is why they never let one team have too much total power for very long, at all. The middle decides elections. Partisans just do everything they can to paint other as EVIL, BAD.... etc.

I think people do. A 10% approval rating doesn't indicate that Americans are in love with partisanship.
