I think Darryl is at his best when describing the human condition.
I can't relate to any of his descriptions of the psyche at the level he's talking about, but I guess most pathologies are at the far end of the spectrum of otherwise normal human behavior and emotion. So on some level I can maybe relate to even the most aberrant of behaviors.
It's just interesting for me to listen to someone speak on the subject with clarity. I can't say I'm a raging narcissist, but I think I can recognize thought patterns, that taken to the extreme might become debilitating. I'm not a drug addict on the street, but even just quitting smoking helps me empathize with someone that is. And I'm pretty sure everyone has a family member or friend that has gone way off the deep end with drugs and has puzzled over how someone can get so far out of control. Its just heart breaking to watch.
So, anyway, I just wanted to see what someone in the business of dissecting the human mind thought about his assessments.
