Light is directional and has energy which is why it gets included as a particle but it's not a particle (no mass), it's a wave. Other wave transmissions in the electromagnetic portion of the spectrum are not as directional so they are not confused with particles.
Our eyes, and mechanical sensors, receive these waves distorted by the direction they are coming from. That distortion gets confused by almost everyone as something more than it is. They write complex math equations that they THINK represent the distortion, then rely on the faulty math to prove wild claims. It's actually a lot simpler than that; Einstein's train explanation was all I needed as a kid to grok it. His General Theory went off the rails.
