For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Most of us are also OGs ... with a ‘W’ in the middle - which I think qualifies as Martin’s demographic.
Maybe not his target demographic tho.

Balderdash.
I'll accept we wouldn't be where we are now but we wouldn't have stagnated as some kind of Victorians.

All the change has been technological, people are still Victorian in mindset, only the technology has advanced.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 3:54 pmBalderdash.

Still no reason to state that the best minds of the last hundred years wouldn't have made advances.
They might have been advances in different directions.
They wouldn't have all become riveters and greengrocers.
Maybe we would have nuclear fission instead of nuclear bombs.

Got to tell people what they want to hear and/or and show them what they want to see. If you aren't doing that, that might explain the lack of fame. Whether or not Martin Hash is impressed by the accomplishments of the famous doesn't determine who is famous, gotta appeal to a wider audience for that, whether or not a wider audience should be impressed won't change the fact that they aren't.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 3:46 pmNot your demographic, we are your friends. 1 in 100 do think I'm fame-worthy. If I could keep the 9 in 100 who break my balls while I'm trying to find the 1 in 100 at bay, that would ease the challenge considerably. This forum is filled with 9 in 100s.StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 5:12 pmGot to tell people what they want to hear and/or and show them what they want to see. I’ll take 1% all night long. If I ever get critical mass then I’ll go for the 90 in 100 who don’t have an opinion until it’s told to them. Right now my enemies dominate.
