I will not be happy until everyone has read Albion Seed and American Nations so we can talk about these folkways endlessly.

You keep bringing up these books, but quit fronting. You are not better than us just because you can read. And we all know you never even graduated high school so quit acting like you are some atheist super genius.GloryofGreece wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 7:25 amI will not be happy until everyone has read Albion Seed and American Nations so we can talk about these folkways endlessly.
I got an associate's degree motherfucker. I can read books, and big ones too, if I wanted. Kaiser University, look it up. Look it up.

Read both and have a report ready by the end of the week. Every "American" should have to read this stuff. No need for your U.S. History class in high school.heydaralon wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 12:20 pmYou keep bringing up these books, but quit fronting. I just got to A Canticle for Leibowitz this past week after you recommended it years and years ago, StA.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 12:16 amI like Lovecraft but, as a reactionary myself, I think his stories should not be so popular amongst us as they really are due to the fact that these stories are anti-reactionary in the sense that they remove humanity from its place of importance. In Lovecraft's fictional world, humans are food at best for much more complex and intelligent beings.
I would look more towards novels like A Canticle for Leibowitz as reactionary fiction.
I remember you talking about it way back on the DCF in some context.
Anyway, I bought it way back then and it was waiting patiently for me. Like a schematic among the memorabilia, I found out, haha.
I had a strong reaction to the book, and I read the wiki bio on Miller just after I finished. Reading about his B-25 experiences adds to my experience with his book.
I reckon I get the idea of it being reactionary, but maybe the cycle is important?
Plus, the scene with the brother slapping his sandals together to beat off the dust when taking his last, long, sentimental look around as the engines are getting juiced comes straight from Matthew chapter 10.
Anyway, I dug it the most.11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

The film was a disappointment.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
