Revolutions podcast - Russian Revolution
IT IS HERE.
I just listened to the first episode.
Really this is what this whole series has been building up to.
If you haven't listened to any of it... I would just start listening now.
In the first episode we have The International Working Men's Association and the origin story of Karl Marx.
Duncan sums up the Revolutions of 1848... and introduces the intersections of:
"Scientific" Social Utopians
Anarcho-collectivists
Professional Revolutionaries
Working class Unionists
and their adversity with
Bourgeois Capitalists
Liberal Constitutionalists
Liberal Aristocrats
and Reactionaries
I mean this is going to be great.
I'll be listening one episode at a time and posting here regularly.... this is going to be about 50 - 20m episodes.
Don't miss it.
Game of Thrones is over.

Check the forum rules. Pretty sure just copying and pasting long blocks of text from wikipedia (like you clearly did) flies in the face of Dan Carlin forum rules, and consequently Martin Hash forum rules. Please be aware that this behavior in the future will not result in a polite response by me, but a flagging of the post and potentially put you on my "foes" ignore list along with Penner, Capps, and Speaker. Just something you should try to work on.DrYouth wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 8:25 amIT IS HERE.

I've read detailed morsels of shit they did on their road to power, their political tactics and organization and frankly it's impressive. Ruthless, but impressive. For it's a know your enemy type thing.
It's pretty interesting how they sidelined the Russian military while they took over the government.

Re: Revolutions podcast - Russian Revolution
Might as well start with 10.0... there is a bit of fluff at the beginning about upcoming events and then an intro to the section.
Otherwise 10.1 is a fine place to start.

Good to have you along C-Mag.
Looking forward to discussing it as we proceed.
Have you listened to any Mike Duncan before?

Thanks, downloading now. Perfect timing. I'm working at home over the long weekend, and I'm going to tune in while I work.

Motherfucker I just finished reading a book on the history of the USSR. I know about Kerensky. I know about the Civil War. I know about the Winter Palace. I would clown Duncan like Stephen King's IT when it comes to Russian Revolution Trivia. He would become the new McDonald's Mascot after squaring off even a single round with me.DrYouth wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 12:22 pmAre you going to listen?heydaralon wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 11:55 amCheck the forum rules.
