Johann Wolfgang Goethe (1749-1832) was a German poet, writer, philosopher, scientist and diplomat. He studied law at Leipzig University and established a small legal practice but terminated his career as a lawyer after only a few months. he wrote several works on morphology, and color theory. He also popularized the Goethe barometer. Goeth had training in Latin, Greek, French, Italian, English and Hebrew, and also received lessons in dancing, riding and fencing. Goethe took part in the battle of Valmy against revolutionary France. Goethe had the largest private collection of minerals in all of Europe. ASPECT
