Search Function

Post by Speaker to Animals »

If the phpbb search function is disabled, you can always use Google (which does a better job anyway).

The way to search any site in particular is to type:

Code: Select all

site:www.martinhash.com
followed by the search query. Using site:www.website.com before your search query limits your search to that website.

So if you want to search for "the habbening thread":

Code: Select all

site:www.martinhash.com the habbening thread
https://www.google.com/#q=site:www.mart ... ing+thread

I have to bookmark this thread, because the search won't let me find it later.

I've noticed that spaces screw up Search but coming up with one unique word is tough.

It does seem broken but I use it every day. What's the alternative? Code one myself? Research a bunch of esoteric gotchchas? Add a Bug Report to the PHP Open Source community? You could do the latter 2 of those things yourself.

Can you at least take off the time limit? I can't go to the second page of results too fast or it says I have to wait before doing another search.

Ok I was looking into search and I can and it works. Can people post what error they are getting, what theme they are using and what user group they are in?

And I have been fire from volunteer jobs before.. And this would not even be in the top 3 of those firings haha.
