Globohomo's keep telling me this, and they have been for probably 15 years. I'm just not buying it. History tells me China is unable to export it's power in a meaningful way because it always has too much trouble controlling it's own population. Then it resorts to tyrannical abuses and ends up in a partitioning of the country.

I'd say more of the same is likely. I found this little line in the story that tends to reinforce my beliefs.
