Are you sure? Doesn't seem like you can get into many angled spaces with that. I'll pick one up though. Can't hurt.

Depends what you mean by angled. I can't think of a lot that it won't get to on furniture other than nuts that are in recessed holes on old furniture. But you are going to need a ratchet with an extension for that anyway.

Another awesome use is to just hold the bolt head tight while you unfasten the nut.

That doesn't look like it would disassemble table legs for example. Most legs are bolted into an angled recess between two diagonal joints. I can get them all with my leatherman Phillip's head bit though

Yeah, you definitely need a ratchet with an extension for those.

I think if I buy a 1/4 inch standard socket set I would be covered for nearly everything when I include a crescent wrench and a pair of channel locks. Pliers and a hammer for taking off doors. I only used a metric socket once to take apart a piece of work out equipment. Fridges and furniture seem to all be standard.

An often overlooked option for home defense is a fire extinguisher. Good to have around in any case but spraying someone in the face and then using it as a club is a reasonable alternative to a gun. A professional burglar said a powder extinguisher to the face was the worst he ever got hit with. Tear gas often effect the user as much as the target in a closed area.

A fire extinguisher is a must for putting out a fire. For home intruders, get a gun.

This is obviously correct, Hastur.

One can't shoot a fire out. (I tried that once back in 93, trust me it doesn't work :drunk: )

Right tool for the right problem, I say.

Fire gets the foam cooked up by the nerd chemists. Home invaders get the number 4 shot I loaded up over at the Secure and Remote on the lake.
