by being suckered in to authoritarian systems, yes. You'll notice that happens to cynics as well.Speaker to Animals wrote:GrumpyCatFace wrote:I'm pretty confident that life can be made better for all, without going to a Communist system, but sure - whatever helps you to comprehend caring for strangers.Speaker to Animals wrote:

I'm pretty confident your type are losing this contest. Utopians usually kill a lot of people with their stupidity.

I am not. I'm just calling bullshit on this sudden clutching of the flag, as though we were all one tribe, once we consider people outside the national borders. Suddenly, we're all the same in here, and it's Those People that threaten our coherent way of life.TheReal_ND wrote:Nobody gets a pass if the south didn't. Fuck you. That is if you're for secession. Well ok. I mean if you promise to let the south go peacefully and stay out of Cascadia we can probably agree to something.
lol I only want to make California howl if they want to secede. I don't really care anymore. It's obvious Trump wasn't the solution I prayed he might be naively.

No religion here, Martin - in fact, you'll find that the most religious among us are the least inclined to actually help their fellow man.Martin Hash wrote:Humanity? Religious bullshit. Have you ever even been outside the U.S.?
Yes, I've been to Mexico twice, and the Caribbean a number of times. I've seen shanty towns, and been begged by children in the streets. I felt pity for them, and shame that I was so lucky for no reason.
Do you find it unnatural to care for the plight of fellow humans and want to help them?

I love the South. If there were some kind of breakup, I'd much prefer the culture of the central states to the coasts. That said, I don't plan on taking up arms for either side - I'll just be where my family has the best way of life.TheReal_ND wrote:Well ok. Yes, it is unnatural. Were you born like that or did you learn it from your parents? Since you're bragging about how much you "care," it's okay for me to brag about myself too, right?GrumpyCatFace wrote:No religion here, Martin - in fact, you'll find that the most religious among us are the least inclined to actually help their fellow man.Martin Hash wrote:Humanity? It's also unnatural to beg. Trust me on this one.
