I like Kelly after listening to him giving this "keynote speech" in (wait for it) 2014 for Human Rights Summit... something you wouldn't think a Trump-general would be given.



Just like Mattis & McMaster, Kelly is one of these guys that are realists, understand things and aren't political hacks licking politicians. Of course they have stroke Trump's ego, but still. No uh... moochin' like the Mooch.

Kelly was good in that he actually could get Trump's policies done without creating much heat against the DHS. I think this hopefully calms down the administration. Kelly and Bannon seem to be in good terms, and the WH talking heads likely won't try to fuck this guy. Jared knows that now is the time to lay low as the honeymoon is over for him.

So hope that the administration will get up it's act. Of course Trump will tweet, but that cannot be stopped.

You have one guy who is basically a politician in a uniform. I can give you most of the people I served with. Probably so can other veterans here. Polls on the servicemembers showed them overwhelmingly against this policy.

I have seen ridiculous op-eds about it from progressives in which trans servicemembers said things like "Nobody can kick me out of my Air Force". Yeah, buddy, it's not your Air Force, and your mental health issues are a fucking problem, okay?

They have to go. We boot people for flat feet, color-blindness, and bipolar depression. A person with gender dysphoria has no business in the armed forces with their rampant suicidal behavior and other problems. The last thing a unit needs is some person having a fucking meltdown in a combat zone because he can't handle whatever it is he thinks he is that day. Get out of here with this stupidity.

Nearly a week after President Donald Trump wrote a tweet that appeared to reinstate a ban on transgender service members, the US military is still awaiting formal direction from the White House regarding any potential policy changes, a spokesman for the Pentagon said Monday.

"What you saw in the form of a tweet was representative of an announcement, that doesn't result in any immediate policy changes for us. We will await formal direction," US Navy Capt. Jeff Davis told reporters at the Pentagon.

Asked if Trump's Wednesday tweets were the only White House guidance the Pentagon had received so far on the topic, Davis responded: "Correct." "We are now in the process of waiting for that to be formally articulated to us in a policy memo and we'll be standing by to make that happen, until then (we) don't have anything on it," Davis added.

Defense officials told CNN last week that the Pentagon had asked the White House for additional guidance soon after the President's tweet.

Doesn't matter what the reality is? Just like who cares if there actually is a wall or not.
