Yeah, you can't avoid paying your Core 7 superstars.

The trick is to play moneyball with the rest, like a Girard, or a Sandin.

The Leafs have Andersen and Rielly on the cheap the same way the Avs have MacKinnon on the cheap.

So that is the current Leafs window.

That's not to say it's they're only window, none the less, when Rielly and Andersen come up for new contracts, the Leafs will have to completely swap out the supporting cast for younger cheaper Marlies.

I can see why Dubas loves him some Sandin.

He will get bigger and stronger in the gym, but the Hockey IQ is what makes him a steal at 29th overall.

His comparable is Duncan Keith, that's who he plays like.

I think they're gonna half to convert Rielly to the right side, like Hainsey.

Sandin and Dermott will be too good to play on the bottom pair, one of them will have to play with Rielly.
