The meat here is whether anything they picked up was then transferred to the DNC.

Yeah, I read that memo and it hasn't proven anything at all. We kind of already knew that the FBI was looking into someone with Drumpf's team and that they probably picked something up during it. Also, the memo did state that the investigation was after Carter Page and it started over what Papadopoulos was blabbing to that foreign diplomat about. Plus, it proves that Mueller's investigation isn't a fraud at all and that a judge renewed the FISA warrant three times- which means that there was a judge that believed it was providing useful information on the target and not a witch hunt.

It's called a Backdoor Warrantless Search............ remember all that talk about inadvertently picking up Drumpf Communications.

All us can be spied on in this manner, anyone we have contact with, or anyone we have contact with that might have contact with someone else could allow the FBI to spy on us. It's pretty clear in the memo that the FBI coordinated and worked with the DNC, the Hillary Campaign, the Media and Fusion GPS to aid in these warrants. You guys don't see a problem with that ?

I am going to side with GCF on this because this is all partisan bullshit that Drumpf and the GOP are trying to use to get away with their illegal shit and/or illegal shit that their friends/allies/members committed and/or used it against their political allies. The only thing that I disagree with GCF is that they are not even bothering to hide the fact that this is mostly a partisan issue and that they themselves will never change on how we gather intel on Americans.

What crime did Trump commit ?
If you don't have a crime, you are not supposed to have an investigation. That's the basic standard.

Maybe you'd like the FBI to decide, you know, that Penner looks suspicious, I don't like the way she acts, were going to spy on Penner and investigate until we find a crime.

On the other hand, I can point to specific crimes the DOJ and FBI have committed in pursuing Trump.

Honestly, I'm still processing the information. I am tending towards Fife's position that this is more a story about the excesses of the I.C. than a partisan issue. I would not find it hard to believe that most countries have their political leaders under surveillance to ensure they are not doing anything to threaten national security. I do feel that if the US dismantled their IC, like some from both sides of the spectrum have called for in this thread, then you would be at a massive disadvantage from your enemies.
